After more than 8 months, the construction progress of Student Activity Center of UI (Pusgiwa UI) has reached the completion of the structural phase of the building construction. This stage was marked by a topping-off ceremony of the building that held on 9 March 2018 at the project site. The event was attended by Prof Dr-Ing Nandy S Putra as PPK of UI, Prof Dr Gandjar Kiswanto as Director of Management and Maintenance of UI Facilities, Prof Dr Dedi Priadi as Director of Lemtek UI, Rully Andhika MT as Business Development Manager of Lemtek UI, Setyo Supriyadi MT and Ir Irfan Arafat as Project Manager and Resident Engineer of Construction Management/Lemtek UI, Ir Batara Arifin from PT Citra Prasasti Konsorindo as contractor, PT Cakra Manggilingan Jaya as design cosultant, and also officers and staffs from UI, Lemtek UI and contractor. This new building of Pusgiwa UI has 9 floors that is adjacent to the old building.

Rector of Universitas Indonesia has assigned PT Ernst & Young Indonesia (EY) as consultant for financial system integration in Universitas Indonesia. This work also includes conducting surveys and mapping of budget, financial and asset management of university ventures in UI. On 23 February 2018 Lemtek UI welcomed EY consulting team who will conduct interviews and walktrough documents. The meeting was attended by the management of Lemtek UI consisted of Dr Wisnu Isvara (General Manager), Ir Budi Setiawan (Office & Control Manager), Rully Andhika MT (Business Development Manager) and Armala Sary SE (Finance Manager), while the EY consulting team consisted of 8 people led by Mrs Inge Anggia and Mr Ardi Wedhatama, and also accompanied by staff from the Directorate of Finance UI. The meeting discussed about the management and reporting of the budget, finance and assets that Lemtek UI had been doing, the obstacles faced and the recommendation for the development of financial system integration of UI.

On 21 February 2018, Lemtek UI was invited by Engineering Fixtures and Quality Control Team of Electric Power Engineering Center of PT PLN Persero (PLN Pusenlis) to discuss about the plan for preparing a feasibility study guide for the development of geothermal and solar/photovoltaik power plants. The meeting was attended by PLN Pusenlis team led by Ir Ekoriwanto and team from Lemtek UI consisted of Dr Wisnu Isvara (General Manager), Dr Yunus Daud (Geothermal Power Plant Expert), Prof Dr Iwa Garniwa & Made Ardhita MT (Solar Power Plant Experts) , Rully Andhika MT (Business Dev Manager) and Ir Endang Kusmana (Energy & ICT Manager). The results of this discussion will be reported to management of PT PLN Persero and followed up with the preparation of the terms of reference.

On 12 February 2018 Lemtek UI organized Farewell & Welcome Ceremony of the director of Lemtek UI, to bid farewell to Prof Dr Bambang Sugiarto as the former director and to welcome Prof Dr Dedi Priadi as the new director of Lemtek UI. The event was held in Lemtek UI office building at Salemba, attended by Dr Hendri DS Budiono as Dean of FTUI, Dr Muhamad Asvial and Prof Dr-Ing Nandy Setiady as Vice Dean of FTUI, Dr Imansyah as Venture Manager of FTUI, Prof Dr Sutrasno as Coordinator of Postgraduate School of FTUI at salemba, Prof Dr Dedi Priadi as director of Lemtek UI 2018-2022, Prof Dr Bambang Sugiarto as former director of Lemtek UI, Dr Wisnu Isvara as General Manager of Lemtek UI and all of managers and staffs of Lemtek UI. The ceremony was started with opening speech from Dr Hendri Budiono followed by Prof Dr Dedi Priadi and last by Prof Dr Bambang Sugiarto. Then proceed with awarding farewell souvenirs from Lemtek UI to Prof Dr Bambang Sugiarto.

Center of Electric Power Engineering of PT PLN Persero (PLN Pusenlis) has been working with Lemtek UI to conduct Power Transmission, Substation and Distribution Training. The training was started on Monday 29 January 2018 opened by Ir Fajar Seno Utomo as Transmission and Distribution Manager of PLN Pusenlis and Prof Dr Dedi Priadi as Director of Lemtek UI. The training will be held for 16 non consecutive days at Lemtek UI Training Center. Training participants consist of 30 employees of the Transmission and Distribution Department of PLN Pusenlis. The training instructors are experts from Faculty of Engineering Univerisity of Indonesia such as Prof Dr Iwa Garniwa, Khairul Hudaya PhD, Made Ardhita MT, and also from PLN Pusenlis.

On 8 January 2018 Rector UI has inaugurated Dr Hendri DS Budiono as Dean of FTUI period 2018-2022. Dr Hendri DS Budiono has officially replaced Prof Dr Dedi Priadi as Dean of FTUI. A week later Rector UI inaugurated Dr M Asvial as Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, and also Prof Dr-Ing Nandy Setiadi Djaya Putra as Vice Dean for Resources, Venture and General Administration of FTUI. It means that Lemtek UI has a new board of commissioners. Dr Hendri as the Dean of FTUI automatically as chairman of the board of commissioners while Dr M Asvial and Prof Dr-Ing Nandy as member of the board of commissioners of Lemtek UI.

Based on the Dean of FTUI Decree No. 025/D/SK/FTUI/I/2018 dated on 10 January 2018, Prof Dr Ir Dedi Priadi DEA has been appointed as new Director of Lemtek UI. Prof Dr Ir Dedi Priadi DEA has officially replaced Prof Dr Ir Bambang Sugiarto MEng as Director of Lemtek UI. Prof Dedi was born on 17 October 1959 in Jakarta. He has completed his S1 degree in Metallurgy Department of FTUI in 1986, then earned his Master degree in 1990 and a Doctorate in 1993 from Ecole Nasionale Superiuer des Mines de Paris France. His field of expertise are material forming, material composite, structure and rheology field. Prof Dedi has served as Technical and Operational Manager of Lemtek UI in 2000-2003, then he became Head of Metallurgy Department of FTUI in 2003-2007. In 2008-2012 he served as Vice Dean of FTUI, then he was elected to become Dean of FTUI in 2013-2017. Now he has been appointed as Director of Lemtek UI until 2022. Welcome back Prof Dedi, enjoy your duty. Thanks with high appreciation to Prof Bambang for his services and dedication as the previous director of Lemtek UI.

After the tender process, CNOOC SES Ltd finally appointed PT Lemtek Konsultan Indonesia as Consultant to conduct Pressure Vessel Residual Life Assessment. The Letter of Tender Winner Appointment (LOA) was acknowledged and agreed on 9 January 2018 signed by Mr Liu Song as President Director of CNOOC SES Ltd and Dr Wisnu Isvara as President Director of PT Lemtek Konsultan Indonesia. The contract term of the services shall consist of the Committment Term that shall commence as of 12 January 2018 until 5 September 2018, and the Optional Term that shall commence as of 6 September 2018 until 11 January 2020. Now PT Lemtek Konsultan Indonesia is still having a contract with CNOOC SES Ltd to carry out the Failure Analysis and Laboratory Works that will be completed on 5 September 2018.

Bank Mandiri has plans to develop Mandiri University to train its employees. Every employee of Bank Mandiri is entitled to attend training or courses at Mandiri University, not only has to understand the technicalities in the banking business, but also understand the corporate culture and how to serve customers. Bank Mandiri is currently starting the construction of the Mandiri University campus in Wijayakusuma area on Jl Daan Mogot, West Jakarta. The 40.000 m2 campus building is built on 4 hectares of land with total estimated cost more than 450 billion rupiah. On 27 December 2018, the praying and grounbreaking event of the foundation work of Mandiri University was held at project site in Wijayakusuma area.The event was attended by Bank Mandiri represented by Mr RM Hari Suseno as Vice President of Mandiri University Group, Mr Agus Pranantio from Strategic Procurement Group, PT Lemtek Konsultan Indonesia as Construction Management Consulting represented by Dr Wisnu Isvara as President Director and Rully Andhika as Director, Project Manager of PT Indonesia Pondasi Raya as contractor of foundation, Senior Officer of PT Dacrea as PMC, and senior officers and staffs of Bank Mandiri and local government officials. Besides PT Lemtek Konsultan Indonesia as construction management consultant, other parties involved in this development are PT Duta Cermat Mandiri as architect and interior design consultant, PT Wiratman as structural engineering consultant, PT Arnan Pratama as mechanical and electrical engineering consultant, PT Reynolds Partnership as quantity surveyor consultant. Mandiri University will be expected to produce superior and professional banking practitioners both at national and ASEAN level.

As a follow-up of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Head of Batam Free Trade Zone and Free Port Authority (BP Batam) and Rector of Universitas Indonesia on 4 September 2017, BP Batam has appointed Lemtek UI to Review of Terms of Building and Environment of Batam Free Trade Zone and Free Port Authority Area. Contract was signed on 7 September 2017 by Dr Tjahyo Prionggo as Head of Bureau of Technical Planning of BP Batam and Prof. Dr. Bambang Sugiarto as Director of Lemtek UI. On 23 November 2017 BP Batam has invited Lemtek UI to attend the Focus Group Discussion to discuss the result of review which has been done by Lemtek UI. FGD was conducted at BP Batam headquarters in Batam. Lemtek UI team consists of Ir Ita Mani Utami IAI, Ir Teguh M Utomo MURP, Ir Ashri Prawesti MSiP and Ir Ahmad Ahdiana.
