On the 3rd of July 2022, LEMTEK UI and Technical University of Denmark (Department of Wind and Energy Systems) has signed an agreement in a co-financing research agreement in the field of renewable energy. The purpose of this collaboration is to conduct research related to the development of renewable energy in Indonesia, especially to provide a broader understanding of the transition from fossil energy use to renewable energy and also the changes toward a better and fairer usage of energy sources. Apart from the technical aspect, this collaboration also explores the effects of policies related to renewable energy such as procurement, electricity tariffs, as well as the impact on social communities, domestic components and job creation.

After almost 2 years of the Covid-19 Pandemic, on 25th of march 2022 has been signed the cooperation agreement between LEMTEK UI and the Department of Transportation for the Province of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta regarding the Work Package for Preparation of Disaster Studies and Evidence Based Study for the MRT Jakarta Depot Plan Phase 2B and Regional Development for the West Ancol Region. In the process of signing this cooperation agreement, LEMTEK UI was represented by Prof. Dr. Ir Asep Handaya Saputra, M.Eng. as Head of LEMTEK UI. Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation for the Province of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta was represented by Mrs. Renny Dwi Astuti as Head of the Railway Division. Through this cooperation agreement, LEMTEK UI is entrusted to conduct a study regarding the level of disaster in the coastal area, especially in the West Ancol area which is planned to be a part of MRT Jakarta Phase 2B route and the proposed location of depots in the area prior to the preparation of the design, procurement process, and funding scheme. In addition, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will also be held by involving stakeholders and related agencies as input for the study report.

On 25th of January 2021, had been signed the MoU between PT. Radiant Utama Interinsco Tbk. and LEMTEK UI at LEMTEK UI’s Meeting room, Jl Salemba Raya No. 4. Upon this signing, hoped that collaboration between both parties will open new projects and ventures particularly in the oil and gas business. PT. Radiant Utama Internisco Tbk. was founded on 22nd of August 1984 and have operated in the sector of supporting services for the oil and gas industry in Indonesia since then, with the support of Human Resources stationed in Jakarta and 10 Branch Offices covering work operations in almost all parts of Indonesia.

On Monday, 10th of January 2022, the new Dean of Engineering faculty of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, ST., M.Eng., IPU had appointed Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Handaya Saputra, M.Eng. as the Head of Lembaga Teknologi FTUI for period 2022-2026 in Makara 04 Smart room at FTUI Dean’s building. This designation was based on the FTUI Dean's Decree No. 20 of 2022, and referring to this Dean's Decree, Dr. Ir. Achmad Hery Fuad, M.Eng will be respectfully discharged from his duty as Head of Lembaga Teknologi FTUI. We give many thank you’s and hope we could work again in the future.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Handaya Saputra, M.Eng. obtained S3 degree in Chemical Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology - Tokyo, Japan in 1999, as well as S2 education in the same university in 1996. From 1999 until 2001 following the post doctoral program of Tonen General Research Center (ExxonMobil Affiliation in Japan).
Completed S1 degree from The Department of Gas and Petrochemical Engineering (TGP) Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia in 1991. After graduation, immediately became lecturer in the Department of TGP (now the Department of Chemical Engineering). Wish a great term for Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Handaya Saputra, M.Eng and hopefully bring Lembaga Teknologi FTUI to a brighter future.

Traffic forecast of six Jakarta inner toll road segment project for PT Jakarta TollRoad Development (JTD) had been conducted in 2018 by LEMTEK UI. following the project, in 2021 PT Jakarta TollRoad Development (JTD) appoints LEMTEK UI to go furhter in depth of the project by using a different method and to include updated conditions such as pandemic caused influences. The project will be carried out for 1.5 months.

Lemtek UI was appointed by PT. Antam Tbk to carry out the work of Consulting Services for Updating the Smelter Grade Alumina Project Charter, which aims to provide a comprehensive review and analysis of the Smelter Grade Alumina Project charter project. The analysis carried out included gap analysis on existing project charters based on generally accepted Project Management, as well as analysis for inputs in the preparation of Project Charters. This work will be done within 30 days.

Based on the Agreement between PT. Geodipa Energi (Persero) and LEMTEK UI, LEMTEK UI has been given the opportunity to conduct the project of Remaining life Assessment Diaphragm Steam Turbine PLTP Patuha Unit 1 . This projects goal is to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of the turbine including the steam and residue to determine the life time of the turbine, recommendations and justifications towards the purchasing of turbine spare parts mainly the diaphragm part of the turbine.

There Has been severe damage towards the retaining wall structure in front of the Pusat Pengelola Kawasan Kemayoran Building, LEMTEK UI was appointed to carry out the Detail Engineering Design of repairing the damaged retaining wall. It is expected that this work will be completed within 2 months.

In addition to working as a planning consultant, Lemtek UI also carries out work as a supervisory consultant, such as the work of Construction Supervision for the renovation of Fasilkom UI's New Buildings Zone 1 and 2 Phase 1. This supervisory work is planned to be carried out within 5 months

PT. Pertamina has given LEMTEK UI the trust to develop a roadmap for understanding the directions and objectives of Direktorat Penunjang Bisnis Pertama of PT Pertamina which is inline with their Rencana Jangka Panjang Perusahaan (RJPP). In addition, adjustments to the Organizational Structure of the Direktorat Penunjang Bisnis Pertama of PT Pertamina in accordance to the RJPP is to be included in the project. This work is planned to be carried out within 2.5 months.
