The University of Indonesia, through the Directorate of Digital Transformation, has appointed the Institute for Technology at the University of Indonesia (Lemtek UI) to develop an Information Technology Business Continuity Plan (BCP) as a strategic initiative toward becoming a world-class university. This BCP serves as a systemic foundation to ensure the continuity of the university’s digital services, maintaining functionality even in the face of major disruptions caused by natural disasters, cyberattacks, or infrastructure failures. Through an approach based on Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, and ISO 22301 standards, this project strengthens IT governance as one of the key pillars of a World Class University.
Lemtek UI developed the BCP and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) documents contextually, tailored to the complexity of the University of Indonesia’s IT systems. Through training and socialization activities, this project not only builds technical readiness but also fosters awareness and collective responsibility among the academic community in managing risks. This approach reflects the development of organizational resilience—the institution’s adaptive capacity to withstand and recover from disruptions without compromising the quality of academic and administrative services.
With the completion of the Information Technology BCP, the University of Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to digital resilience and modern governance as part of its transformation toward becoming a world-class university. Lemtek UI ensures that the university’s technology systems are not only robust in infrastructure but also institutionally strong, setting a model for higher education institutions’ preparedness in an increasingly uncertain digital era.
